critique DE bench day!

i'm prepin for dardenfest and i have weak shoulders.

close gr inc bench----------------10sets------------------2reps@100lbs
skull crushers-------------------------3sets------------------10@50+bar
log press------------------------------7sets-----------------singlesw/120
plate raises------------------------3 sets--------------10repsw/35plate

any suggestions, really tryin to bring up my overhead press.
 
I'd just keep doing what you're doing man. Just keep eating and pressing. That's about all you can do. Routine looks real solid.
 
man, thats a great workout. i dont agree with doing speed overhead press for 10 sets of 2......... stick with the bench on that. but after your bench, try adding in 4 sets of 1 speed ohp with no leg drive. its helping me out a ton!!!!

im not doin speed sets w/ohp. idid them with close grip inc bench and singles on the log.

yes i meant stay with the 10 sets of 2 on your bench press. then after your done with bench, do 4 sets of 1. but if your using the log then thats the same i guess.

Uhhhh....Tate presses anyone????

The viking press is about using your legs to drive it up then your triceps to lock the weight out... Remember that...

i LOVE Tate presses.......... they are probably my fav tricep exercise......... those and close grip.

well, i've never really done tate presses. do you keep your elbows in the same position throughout the movement? are they better than close grip?

you use less weight, but they overload the lower head of the triceps and really help out with the lockout.

no no no........ you take a dumbell in each hand and lay down on a bench. now press them up overhead like the top of a db bench to start....... touch the ends together and keep the 2 dumbells in contact with each other. now the db's are touching and are parallel to the floor. now bend your elbows out to the sides, and let the dumbells stay together, but roll them in untill they are touching and are perpendicular to the floor with the ends laying flat on your chest....... then reverse it to press.

thanks man, that really helped alot, i may try those on my me day. those look like they would kill the tris;)

they do..... but becareful at first....... its just like squating with you knees over you toes.......... in other words there is a lot of pressure on your elbows.
