I scrolled up the page and saw Samoth's post like every other, lol

It kinda makes sense on paper, do you guys think that this would work? Cause Test Flu sucks!!

Epsilon-delta definition
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay I need some help I think I got the answer but not sure
prove the lim as x approach 2 (-x^3 +1)=-7 using the epsilon-delta definition of the limit
so for every epsilon greater than zero there exists a delta greater than zero
0<lx-2l<delta then, l(-x^3 +1) +7l<epsilon
which works out to l-x^3 +8l<epsilon
when you do the graph I am getting delta: 1 as 2- cubed root of (8-epsilon) and delta: 2 as cube root of (8+epsilon) -2
Not sure how this relates
I was getting all this for my homework problems then the teacher gave us these problems and now I am lost... Grrr

dumbass,it's not a real questionsamoth said:Okay, I solved it, but without using any graphical methods. I'm rather pissed at MATLAB and it's stupic programming language, so that's kinda a touchy subject with me right now. Along with the impending E&M exam.
What exactly are you trying to ask? How the graph relates? If so, you'll have to tell me how to imput it into one of the math OS's I have, 'cuz the only thing I know thoroughly is the TI-86. Everything else involves referencing a stupid manual 1,000 pages thick.
Anyway, off that tangent, can you please clarify a bit? Did you work out a numerical proof or are you just using going by the graph? Also, what time is it where you are? I really hope I'm not the only person up at 4:00AM doing math.

dudesamoth said:Using methods the methods she stated, which can be found in any calculus text, I can arrive at a solution. It isn't defined at every point, but I can get a general solution. Note I never said I proved anything. I just solved what she gave me.
If ya'll want the work, I can post it up for you, since I did it already and shit.

I know exactly what you're hinting at. I hang out over at the homework help section of physics forums. No one does the entire problem for someone.
But if there was any seriousness here, I can still post up the solution. If not, it's 4:00 AM here, and I need to study.

Therefore your reasoning you base your argument on is nullified.samoth said:Since when does a calculus course obey the laws of economics? She didn't ask an econ question, it was a typical calc text problem. Therefore your reasoning you base your argument on is nullified.
econ pwned by calc ∫3x /∂/∂y / ∏z(i)

Fucking fuck
Now... which fucking field? Actually, I don't care which fucking field it is. It has a uniform fucking density, it's integrated from an infinite point, and its a fucking closed surface integral. The answer is zero. Now fuck off.
