I've heard not to mix creatine with grape juice or other types of juices. What is the best way to drink plain creatine with the least amount of waste?

Thanks

Yup mixing creatine with grape juice is the bodybuilders biggest mistake , this was said by muscle tech, since its an advertisement ,its not a good idea to believe it. I dont know if creatine is best with grape juice or not,but i would guess its better and cheaper with dextrose since dextrose has a higher GI, local brewieres have dextrose from what ive heard, also supplementdirect.com has it at a good price

Chillin has a good point, but if all you have is plain creatine monohydrate, then mixing it with grape juice IS the way to go.

juice

Cant remember what sight I read it at, but they said any juice was good as long as it did not contain citric acid.
The grape juice I use does not have it. Wish I could remember the sight..

are you sure?? because some juices are lower GI than others. Grape juice is brought up often because it is higher GI juice, than other juices.. for example apple juice. I dont know how it compares to other juices, but i would guess if their was a higher GI juice people would have brought up that juice instead of grape juice. Since the whole aim of this is to take creatine with a high GI food, grape juice isnt even the best juice if your looking for a high GI food. I dont know how much is needed etc,but if your looking for a higher GI dextrose would be better, dextrose is cheap if u buy it by itself.

When i said mixing creatine with grape juice is the bodybuilders biggest mistake, i was just joking, that was what the muscletech ad says. I dont know whether or not thats the case,.

how much dextrose should you mix with creatine if your planning to do a loading of 20 g of creatine a day.. so i plan to take 4 seperate doses of 5 g per dose.. how much dextrose(powder) should i mix with 5 g of creatine?

when taking creatine, ensure that you are taking it with a drink/meal with a fair amout of cals, this ensures better absortion in the intestines

I’m not using grape juice but I Stir the powder with the glucose drinks for about 1 minute to make sure that it is properly mixed. Don't want it to stick to the sides of the glass.

Creatine is a lot stronger than we may think. If we're a lightweight keep the dosages low. Don't always think that the labels on the container are absolute. We actually need a lot less creatine than the companies suggest.
