As i was starting to BB i bought a tub of creatine tablets which are 1000mg (1g?) each tablet. The instructions on the tub state you should take 3, 3 times a day during loading, then 2-4 tablets per day after that.

After the loading stage that 2-4g per day doesnt seem enough to me, is there any hard and fast rule son this stuff. Is there an amount you shouldnt go above and is there a minimum amount recommended?

Also im gonna get powdered stuff once the tablets are gone, how is this stuff taken?

Most people here will recommend the powder as do I. My powder the loading phase it 5 g 4 times a day for the first 5 days so 20 g/day for 5 days. Then maintinence is 5 g 2 times a day for a total of 10g/day. Personally i usually take like like 8 g a day. 4 g when i wake up and the 4 after i lift. Try not to use too much though or you will just piss it right out.

Mix the powder in with a sports drink or fruit juice. Try to take it with a warm liquid so it helps with dissolving. Also make sure you get plenty of water if you dont know already.
 
You really need to find out what your body needs. Try what ar6 said and do 4/4, but pay close attention to any results you get. I know my body didn't respond at 10g a day. I bumped my intake into 10 before and 5-10 after, and all of the sudden I started putting on weight. If your not responding try a little more. Don't go overboard though. I wouldn't go over 15-20g in a 24 period. Also what ar6 said about mixing it in juice is very important. Unless the powder you buy has a transport system, you need the simple sugars of juice or a sports drink to help transport the creatine into the muscles. good luck
