creatine ethyl ester with nitrovex

I have been taking thermo-life creatine ethyl ester for a couple months now. I am wondering if this product can lower my immune system. It has nitrovex in it, which Im not sure what that is, or what that does. I usually dont get sick in the summer time, but I have been sick like 3 times this summer and its only the beginning of July. Could the nitrovex be to blame, or am I reaching?

Nitrovex is just ThermoLife's way of saying all of the following: DiArginine malate, Citrulline malate, L-Norvaline, Cinsulin and taurine. Basically. it acts as a hemodilator and allows for a greater flow of blood to occur and transport more oxygen to muscle tissue. The primary ingredient is L-Arginine ... usually at levels of 3000mg. If arginine comsuption is very high, you may experience some light-headedness or headaches. So check your other supplements (ie: protein/weight gain powders, amino acids) as they all contain arginine.

I haven't heard of any other illnesses as a result of CEE and/or NO2 products. What kind of illnesses are you experiencing?

Ive been getting your basic cold/flu. I cant figure out why Ive been getting sick so often. Ive been to the doctor and he says Im ok. The only thing I can think of is ever since I started taking this creatine 2 months ago, Ive been sick 3 times. 3 times in 2 months is a lot. It could just be a coincidence. But if its not this, then I dont know what my problem is. I was taking methyl 1 test, but I havent taken that in about a month. Are there any supps that I might have taken that could have lowered my immune system?

Basic cold/flu ...ok.

Methyl 1-Test does have the potential for many side effects depending on the user and dosage. As you would expect, the body would be under some stress and therefore your immune system may be lowered.

When you exercise your body uses more oxygen and if you use a hemodilator type supplement, it allows for the transport of additional oxygen due to the dilation of blood vessels. More oxygen also means the potential for the creation of more free radicals which cause tissue damage. Again, your immune system may be lowered.

The creatine would also allow you to push yourself harder during exercise routines which would inturn compromise your immune system. Whenever you train hard, your immune system will be lowered somewhat.

So I wouldn't put it down specifically to your supplements. More to the fact that you are able to train harder as a result of using them and therefore lowering you immune system, lower than it otherwise would normally be.

Your diet is very important to maintaining a healthy immune response. Vitamin C can help raise your immune response as it acts as an anti-oxidant. Fruits and vegetables are also good. If your intake of Iron is high this may lower your immune response. Make sure you are also getting a good supply of carbs for your workouts and that your fat intake is balanced with Omega 3/6 fatty acids. You may also want to avoid socialising with people immediately after your workout as this is the time when your immune system is likely to be at its lowest and open for infection.

Thanks a lot Kian, When I started this thread I was hoping you would answer. You seem to know your stuff, and you help everybody out. I really appreciate it. As far as my immune system, Im gonna try to adjust my diet a little. Maybe be a little more careful in the gym. They dont even wipe down the equipment there.
