crashed eq

hey guys my eq crashed and i cant get it to reconstitute. How hot do i have to get it? i tried baking it at 220 deg for like 15 minutes......any suggestions?

Usually heat it up on stovetop and swirl. I can't believe your eq crashed, that's the easiest compound to get into solution!

The one and only time I had gear crash I would hold onto it with tongs and swirl in boiling water. This worked for me. It would crash again after it cooled down enough but it stayed to gether long enough for me to use it.

hot water not boiling in stove top cover bottle till the middle at least...........do this at least 15 minutes then grab it with a towel and shake it up.........repeat the heating...

What confuses me is what do you mean by it crashed? And I am confused why one would need to reconstitute EQ.

Just an FYI, EQ has a melting point lower than room temp so if you have EQ powder I would question its true identity/quality.

could be wrong, but I am under the impression that the melting point is around 25 F. My "powder" eq has always been a liquid at room temp. Should be very stable.

whenever my gear has crashed/crystalized (only prop ever) i add 1 ml ba and heat til its all liquid. that has always stabilized it for weeks.

that would be my guess--it could be some gear with we higher melting point--but not sure what else would be over 220--most long ester test is up around 180

Yes, it is fake. EQ, like a lot have said, is a somewhat gooey liquid at room temp. I used to be a brewer and brewed many a jugs of this.

I still brew and EQ doesn't crash! So my guess would be it's either completely bunk or it's a different/ cheaper compound that you paid EQ price for.

good call, I believe it doesn't even come as a solid when u get it like zyg said.
Probably just low dosed test
