cracking joints...knees and elbows

when im sitting for a period of time and then stand up, my knees crack. Same with my elbows. I love to squat and the higher ive progressed, my knees crack louder and louder although they feel just fine. Whats up? Is there anything that can lubricate my joints?
 
I don't know about lubricating your joints...

But warming up sufficiently always reduces the cracking in my knees. Ususally i do a few light warmup stes and then I go heavy, I have never had a real cracking problem for as long as I have did the warmup sets....
