ok, let's look at it another way. say someone is using heavily and often, then they go onto the field and falls out. he dies and then who's going to get slack. the coach and the school. why, because the kid has this episode on school property or in a school sponsored event. the testing gives the coaches a chance to get the kid clean. if the kid refuses then they are off the team. the test results don't go to the police nor should they go to the parents either. it's just between them, the coach and the principal. the ones who oppose this are the ones using. should schools want to represented by a drug user? they have every right not to be. i think a better way would be to make them voluntary. if you have nothing to hide then you have no worries. just list any prescript drugs you might be on.
fantom, though i see your point, what about safety to others? someone who's high on pcp can go apesh** and hurt someone. does'nt that concern anyone either. these kids can and do get their paws on some nasty stuff these days. it's everywhere. but again, it should be voluntary rather than madatory.
