Counting Calories

DanBoyle

New member
I have been not doing well enough at counting my calories as I should, but I wanted to know how many other people out there count their calories and keep them at specific levels each day... whether it is a workout day or resting day?

For example I try to keep my just below what I burn to get my body fat to my goal... close but not quite there.

Any stories or advice would be helpful.

Go to Microsoft Excel or any other spreedsheet maker. Make a chart that says:

Food.......Calories.......Protein.......Fat..........Carbs
Chicken....200............45.............0.............5
Oatmeal....150...........12..............3.............37
Apple.......80..............2...............0.............18
etc.
etc.

Then below the calorie column type
=SUM(B2:B24) B2 would be the cell with the first food's calorie. B24 would be the last cell.
Sum up calories, fat, carbs and protein and you have a calorie counter.
