We absolutely have to wash our makeup off and put all that stuff on our face at night? Because, I don't do it and my skin is fine.

Cindylou I don't either . And I have no issues. It must not be affecting the way I look bcuz nobody ever gets my age right :) lol ...if it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)

How old are you ladies?

You wash your makeup off as it clogs pores the older you get the more issues it will cause as we age our pores get larger. As for skin care etc it preventative you can take the time to take care of your skin now or pay for it later via botox etc.

I know, I actually have pretty good skin. It seems when I start messing with cleanser and moisturizer my skin starts acting up. Not sure what I should do. Sometimes I feel guilty about it because I keep hearing how important it is. I don't know much about skin.

i am 40 I dont ever wear make up, little mascara and lip gloss thats it..i do use moisturizer's and take a good "womans" multi and fish oil.. i go tanning once a week so i am not bone white....in the winter and wear a good sun screen in the summer..alls good here i think..

What are your skin types? This would also be a factor.

It takes all of 2-3 minutes to wash your face and put on a night time mostirizer or skin treatment. Hell you could even use the makeup remover wipes be done in under a minute.

I found a good artical on why Healthy Skin Expert Dermatology Advice: Article - Skin Maintenance

Skin starts to change a lot more in your mid 40's and on once you go through the change of life gravity and hormonal changes etc. I am not saying bring on some complex beauty routine simple bar of dove soap and maybe cetaphil as a moisturizer.

If you are on fitness board it would be safe to assume your drink a decent amount of water eat realitivly healthy and exercise so that helps as well.

Thanks QT. I have a bunch of stuff here I might as well use it. I also have a tube of lattise, might as well start using that too I guess? I've been too lazy to apply that too! Lol.

I do wear makeup daily. I wear tinted moisturizer (which is my daily sunscreen), eyeliner, blush, powder, mascara, lipgloss and eyeshadow on most days so I should probably be washing it off and throwing on some moisturizer I guess. So much for waking up looking decent. ;) Just kidding. :D

So I had what would seem to most as a vain type of resolution after I started healing from my accidant and got over the depression from it. I wanted make myself feel beautiful every day not for anyone else but myself. When you feel like you look your best your mood is boasted you are much happier in general and postive things come your way.

I get that you can be so exausted after a long day of work plus the little one but make it a ritual to take care of yourself. Like I said you can keep it simple get it done in a few minutes. You owe yourself that little time to feel pampered like you are taking care of every asepct of your mind body and spirt.
