I have decided to go to Corpus Christi instead of South Padre Island in August.

It is North Padre Island, after all. So, my question is, what are the beaches like on North Padre Island.

Are there any dance clubs in Corpus Christi, like trance, house mix, etc.?

What are the best and most reasonably priced hotels on the beach?

The water isn't any better than Galveston. I went not too long ago. I think it would be worth the drive to go to South Padre, but that is JMO. I also went to Port Aransas and got tanked at some bars there. I think those beaches are just too close to the Port of Houston and the beaches/water aren't any different than Galveston.

Well, I can't find any hotels that are reasonable in South Padre. It is a summer place and the prices are outrageous.

I just want to lay on the beach and soak up the sun and ocean air. I am not planning on getting that far out into the water anyway. I just want to wade in the water a little.

Corpus Christi was fun, but i think it wasn't any different than Galveston as far as beaches are concerned. I did have a good time though.

Port Aransas is pretty cool, and only about 20 minutes from Corpus. We were there around Spring Break. Not sure of the Clubs down there tho.

Hmmm, a friend of mine just told me to stay away from Port Aransas. He said it is nasty since the Brazos River dumps into the ocean there.

I just want a decent hotel, at a decent price, on the beach, so I can chill for a couple of days. Maybe do a little dolphin sighting thing. Go to a couple of clubs, hang.

I want to totally relax.
