If you take 4-8 cops on a high-speed chase on a major highway or interstate full of traffic, why wouldn't it come with a good ass-kicking?

I'm sure most cops involved in a white-knuckled, life-endangering high speed car chase are thinking: "The moment I catch this guy, I'm beating the hell out of him".

And you think this is reasonable behavior? Or legal?

I would have to see the context first.

If this was the culmination of a one hour chase that risked dozens of other people's lives, then I certainly wouldn't make prosecuting the cops a legal priority.

If this happened on a routine stop where the guy simply lost control of his car, then it's definitely excessive.

LOL, I think the guy was unconscious after he got thrown out of the vehicle. Probably didn't feel a thing.

or dead...roll over ejection accidents are incredibly bad news..a lot of people die on their way out from the velocity hitting the A or B pillar then factor in crushing injuries from the weight of the vehicle

I saw the conclusion of a high speed chase once in my career where there were injuries and ultimately a fatality and it was a right time right place situation for me that I even saw it..
and everyone was handcuffed and that was it
everyone was given a quick assessment too to get an idea of their condition...no one was dealt with with force of any kind

no I don't think whats done on that clip is legal or rational..public service has to be above normal human reactions

If I were a cop, I'd dish out a daily random beat down in my precinct just to demonstrate the pecking order.

just sayin'

there is no acceptable circumstance...seriously..
if youre in that position of authority you can't let emotion get the better of you, no matter how much youd like to
at the very least it fucks up prosecution

Doesn't look necessary. Maybe he was playing dead is what they'll say? Approaching like that just shows anger and not proper procedure in my opinion. He (they)should get some kind of minor punishment.

failure to obey verbal command..

"show me your hands"

"fcuk you" = taser time... would that be a better response??

In theory I agree with that. But considering today's justice system, that's probably the worst penalty that guy will experience.
