They say you cant but i know people that are addicted.. They cant go a day without it, toke up first thing in the morning, throughout the day and then at night.. its more of a psychological dependence.

It is possible (kinda) to OD on weed... I read a study not to long ago and it mentioned you would have to smoke 1oz a second to OD on pot.

Scientist have smoked mice out, to the point that they died. No real world chance it will ever happen though to a human.

Weed can be addicting, from personal experience, stopping cold turkey after years of chronic use, resulted in irritability and loss of appetite, and a feeling similar to a constant adrenaline rush, with shaky hands. For me symptoms lasted about 1 week, after that, I felt fine and had no cravings for the green.

I would imagine it would be harder to give up coffee than pot.
