Yeah, and tatoos are essentially premeditated scars. I used to want tatoos, but felt they were necessary to my life or appropriate in accentuating what I feel strongly about. This is just my opinion, but I think body markings should be left up to chance. That way they tell a more organic, unrefined story of one's life.

I've got both. One tatoo, not a tribal armband or some trendy crap that everyone gets, and about a dozen scars. I was a curious kid, and not exactly the most dextrous when it came to handling sharp objects!

Scars usually have better stories behind them than tats do. From personal experience the scars I have get better reactions than my ink. I'm kind of bummed that the bayonet scar on my upper lip is disappearing though.

Lowest I earned the scar during training. No, it was not my fault. The guy got his ass kicked and I got stitches. The rest of the details are classified.
