hey, I know youre always armed with your camera, lets get some videos up here of some dunks...and show off that vert.. eh? eh?

I hardly ever play BBall anymore, interferes with my training recovery. Plus I can't do jack, just a single hander off a bounce :)

I'll post a dunk video one day once I reach my weight training goals and then head off to the courts to test it. When I can do a 2 handed dunk your sure to see it :D

heh-heh, aright man, good deal...whats your height and vert by the way?

I'm 5'9" - vert somewhere over 36 inches, I've never measured it since ages ago, but its' been going up slowly over the months, even though I've gotten fatter! When I lean up look out ;)

lol, i love the guy staring at you in the background while youre doing the box jumps...and great job on your double bounds...youre second leap is very powerful

what the hell...

your box jumps look like magic or something - no visible effort and you go flying into the air.

I'm following what you post here because I'm trying to develop vertical leap too - I've sort of decided to copy you to some degree, starting off at 175, doing low-rep compound movements (concentrating on getting a good squat) and stuff 'till I hit something over 200 and then losing fat. I'm at like 180 ish right now, and my squat is improving. (the difference is that my vertical leap kind of sucks) Anyhow keep posting, it's totally inspiring and helpful.

Thanks - a bit of elastic energy helps ;)

Tagio - It just looks like that because I jump with such a shallow dip :D

Yeah he's a Gym PT - you can see his client - doing crunches with her legs straight up in the air :)

while we're on the subject.. what do box jumps do? it's not plyometrics, because there's no impact, right? I've seen a guy doing sets of them in between sets of deadlifts at the school gym. they're fun, but what are they for?

teaching the body to recruit fast twitch fibers, fibers up the neural system, teaches reflex and reactive abilities. Basicly it used by oly lifters to teach them to get under the bar to rack it.

At the time I did those I was superseting them with glute ham raises.
