Well...had a good contest. I do not have the final times on every event yet...but here is what I can muster up at this point. My brain is not fully functional at this point either.

Log Clean and press
225, 245, 270...made all three

70k lb Fire Truck Harness Pull, 75ft
28.x second, 4th out of all 46 competitors, 1st in my class

Atlas Stones
5 stones, 230-345, all five stones in 21.2 sec... one tenth of a sec from first

700lb Super Yoke Walk
2nd place, don't know official time for 75 ft

Partial Deadlift
650, 725, 800...made all three.

I finished 2nd place...very close to first. This was our nationals and final event of the year. Spoke with a few people about sponsors and many wanting me to be a part of their team. Who knows...who knows... I'm just a young kid...youngest in my class by 5 years. We will see what is next for young skywalker.

Here comes the pics....

The log press...with 270...

Anyone else ever compete in the cold Tx Rain?

And the harness pull...I barely remember anything for the first 30 minutes afterwards though...I sorta remember bear hugging the guy next to me and a few people trying to talk to me...I do remember the crowd yelling when I set the time to beat.

Here is me...in the cold weather...getting ready and putting the tacky on my hands and chest.

Here is me going through the stones. I tried to throw up the lighter ones as quickly as possible while trying to never grab a hold of them.

look at the "non-devoloped" back there. Glad I have no back muscular development. :)

Getting ready for the 700lb yoke....

Doing the yoke....balance is very hard on this thing...700lbs is a lot too.

Pulling 725...

Pulling 800...like candy. I had 850 in me...maybe. Never know till you actually do it.

Very impressive big man. My back hurts just looking at those pics!!! Look forward to seeing you on ESPN bro :supercool

Pretty impressive strength, let me guess, you got that way with lots of isolation movements like preacher curls and leg extensions, right?

BFOLD

TOP DRAWER MATE

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE AMOUNT OF DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT IT TAKES TO TRAIN FOR THAT, AND YOU DID SO WELL!!

WELL DONE MATE

I AM THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED

EXCELLENT

you should really think about those sponsorships if they REALLY considered you. you are a ginormous god. jeesus H... anyway, you didnt blur out yer faces like you normally do, waddup wid dat? wish I was as brawny as you.

needsize: you are correct...I gained my strength from leg exts and concentration curls. Just kidding..I did do some leg exts in my routine though...simulates the burn and the drive it takes for a harness pull. Training in the gym has very little carry-over to the events though...very little.

Rocket: never a need to call me sir...never. I have far to go before anyone can call me sir.

the People's Champ: I am considering the sponsors...but I need to focus on the rest of my life right now. I need to finish school more than anything, and get all of my family and relationships in order. Those three things have taken back-seat for the past few months and they must become priority. I have a very good friend who passed away recently and he ruined his family with this crazy sport. He lost his education and his family love for this sport...and the day before he passed he told me that the most important thing for me was my famiily and my education. I took those words to heart...big time.

Blur my face? Well...I'm fat and ugly...I can never change that. I will always be the same ol' ugly mug guy no matter how much I train. I have nothing to hide I do not guess. Why do those pics always make my face look fat though?

Thanks to all...thank you very much. I have a long way to go though...a very long way. There were many great athletes there that I really looked up to. All humble and kind people...brothers.

You bad mo fo you pulled a fire truck!
If I recall didn't you do all this after working all day and driving all night?
Outstanding!

Satanic Goatslayer: thanks...but that was the easiest event:)

Bigsatan13: why yes...I did work and then drive 14 hours straight. I also got there a day early so I could catch up on some sleep. Rough. Talk about the drive home...wow.

B True

B, you certainly have a lot of potential, I know most powerlifters don't hit their peak strength until late 20's early 30's, at 24 with the strength you already have, barring injury, you could go a long way.

Top Five Finishers
1. Svend Karlsen
2. Magnus Samuelsson
3. Janne Virtanen
4. Phil Pfister
5. Martin Muhr

World's Strongest Woman Results
1. Jill Mills
2. Heini Kovuniemi
3. Robin Coleman

My man won...I love Sven.

NicolePap: At the meet I just came from...they were telling me of a contest in Feb in Boston...same one? Several guys were trying to get me to get my butt going and start training with them so I could compete up there. I am thinking about it...but a sponsor will have to come through for me on that one.

needsize: Thanks...thanks a lot. I hope that my strength gets a lot better. With a couple of more years of training...and lots of technique improvemen on the events...I could be much better...much better.

VERY impressive BFOLD!

The challenge of the events has always amazed me when I catch them on T.V.!

Awesome job Strongman!

hey bfold you get my respect! i always enjoy those event training pics you put up here.

and satanic goatslayer; I just looked at your profile and I see you're no longer a test subject for potential cures, but a pirate now. man, you're moving up the ranks! nice goin'.

vixenbabe: Thank you very much. There is a huge challenge while doing the events...very big. There were 5 women in the contest...and they were very very impressive to watch. The did not finish every event...but to see them go balls to the wall was just amazing.

SAGAT: thanks...don't know if I'll be putting up any event training pics for a while...gotta recover for now. Went out and did some sled dragging today...but my hips and a few other joints are still in some serious pain. I got an email from one of the women competitors just a few minutes ago...and she said that she was still taking the Advil as she typed. I am in need of a serious female massage...wow..am I ever.

The FORCE! lol

You rock B FOLD baby! Just a young kid eh? Got yourself a sugah momma yet? ;)

Excellent work, keep at it!

NicolePap: Who knows about that contest. I'd love to go and was even mailed an entry form the other day. Slots are filling up quickly and they are only accepting a limited amount of applications. Who knows if they'd even accept me. Would be cool to have an "elite" cheering crowd though:)

JustinM: ESPN? Who knows...maybe someday. Whit Baskin used to compete on this circuit...he was even at the contest and looking bigger. May be hope for me yet.

tripleV: A sugar momma? Naaa...you think I could find someone that could keep up with me? Wait...I guess that should be "that could put up with me". Naa...not me...I'm terrible with women...absolutely horrible.

Thanks again to everyone...I have worked very hard for this...I have overcome a lot...a whole lot...just to be there last Saturday.

That is awesome! Congrats! What I find interesting is how you can keep your body fat so low. I mean you don't have a gut and you can see your abs. Do you eat fairly low carbs or what?

Garza: I actually eat a lot of food, and I shoot for pizza a lot. I love hamburger helper, 1 box of helper and 3lbs of hamburger. That makes a good 3-4 meals.

With all of my event training...it is basically cardio...very hard. I am also very young too...one of the youngest competitors all day and the youngest by 5 years in my class.

Thanks

B-

You are pulling a frickin' firetruck bro. A frickin firetruck.

Very impressive, Congrats.

Zen

I see you got the climbing shoes, how did they work out for you?

ZenMachine: It was a 70,000 pound fire truck at that...one of the old Mack's. I loved the shoes...bought them the day before. I found a pair of 14's that I could barely fit my feet into. Loved them. They are very very very tight, but the straight rubber soles are great. Good for pulling and make your foot feel like it is in a glove.

Thank you a lot

Congrats B true, that is awesome. Wish I was down in your part of the country no one around here understands my goal of pulling a bus around. Would be nice to train with other people who's goal is strongman. Oh well will get there someday, am also 24 and know that I am just a baby in the lifting scene. Good luck to you and may you have continued success.

Cheers,
Scotsman

You, along with anyone else, are always welcome at my home. We can do all kinds of crazy things that I assure you will make you sore for days.

Feel free to email me anytime for advice or just for some motivational sharing...I can always use some good motivation.

B True

You can count on me being in contact, and next time I am down south will stop by and throw some stones with ya. Also feel free to write me if you need a boost on a training day, will look for the same from you.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Congratulations B Fold, I always enjoy reading about your training and seeing your training pics. I train in my garage sometimes too, so I know the looks and comments the neighbours give.

Best of luck to you.

Scotsman : come on down...please. I am always looking for someone to train with.

vinman: thanks. I love my garage. I look at the rest of my competitors and realize that they train in top-notch gyms with all the equipment...and I have little to nothing....it is inside of me.

Dillon35: Thank you...you have no idea what this means to me at this low point in my life. A guiness? I love them...maybe a Killians or and Amberbock...ahhhhhhhh.

B True

It's a long way from Colorado to Kentucky but if I manage to get down there look forward to some heavy training.
