constipaion??

I have problem with constipation I'm going to restroom 3-4 at week, so I bought CITRUCEL sugar free but it contains 24 calorii MALTODEXTRIN per serving I don't know if is it good idea take it if I dieting...is too much sugar?? Daily I need take 3 serving..so that is 72 calor Maltodex. daily.

What do you think?
 
If there is something you NEED to take in order to be healthy, in my opinion, that comes before all dieting concerns. If the extra 72 calories a day will NOT kill your diet, especially if it's going to cure constipation (which can be an even bigger problem than hanging onto some extra body fat)

How is the fiber intake from real food? Eat fibrous veggies such as brocolli.

Also, if you are cutting carbs very low and your fat intake is low also - this can cause constipation. If you cut carbs, make sure fat intake is still moderate to help "move" things.

Drink 1-2 tbsp of olive oil off a spoon. I bet you that will help.
 
To add to this...if this is seriously becoming a problem, see a doctor...the girls on here are great and give excellent advice, but (as far as I know) nobody has an M.D.

And even if someone here IS an MD, they do not know you PERSONALLY and cannot give full advice without an examination! :)
 
I wonder the same thing. I havent gone for several days. lm on atkins and have been for 6 days with no improvement. The Atkins book says to take physillum husk. I have been and it hasnt helped.
Daisy girl.. as far as the olive oil remedy...have u done it yourself? Or know if it really helped someone? I might try that.
 
i take digestive/plant enzymes after every meal. I have a funny digestive system and the enzymes really seem to help me stay regular.
