I was @ the L.A. County Fair this weekend and stopped by the L.A. County Sheriff Dept booth. Looks like a decent gig. Any bro's doing the Reserve Deputy Sheriff job? Just looking for opinions, good or bad.

The denial rate is huge. I know for long beach, 3000 apply - 60 make it. So you'll have a tough time just getting hired. But it can be done.

Once in the academy - it's like boot camp, but fun. And expect to work shitty jail detail for like the first 2 years.

CHP is easier if you're okay with working anywhere in the state.
