You should amend this statement to:
"Confucianism shows that MY idea of 'God' is ultimately unneccessary."
You obviously believe that God (or the concept thereof), serves only to provide us with moral guidelines with which to conform. However, to others, this is not what God is. I don't look to God to as the maker of rules and the founder of obedience, I look to him as the creator of all things, and as the savior of the world.
There are no precepts in Confucianism that lend themselves to disproving or weakening this concept.
The only thing you have accomplished here is note that practitioners of Confucianism do not need God to respect life and each other. This does nothing to render God "unneccesary."
