pOink- you asked are you a religious man or what? like what is your honest beliefs when it comes to god, jesus, satan, etc. you seem quite versed on religion, so i'm rather curious
My friend, your question is kind of broad but I will do my best.
About Jesus- even if you take Him as a fictional character(which He is/was very real), you cannot deny that He is the most perfect man ever written about(also, He is the most written about individual in the History of History). He sets examples, by his actions, reactions and Godly thought process. He understood the true definition of respect and empathy(which is a broad statement). It seems only logical to follow His ways. He never wanted to be worhiped, He was trying to help others understand God and to be grateful for this precious life you have been given.
About Satan- its my opinion that Satan is not an actual entity or person with horns on his head trying to make people take part in negative actions. Hastan is hebrew for adversary, the jews called the gentiles there "hasatan". The old testament and new testament contains two different so called "devils or satans", they don't coincide at all, which tells you that the New Testament has gone under some serious redaction to fit the ages and present environment. I do believe in negative energy and that a person can have negative thoughts, which can be called a Satan, however, there is no single entity in my opinion, and if there is , then that entity has no dominion over me whatsoever, thats why I say there is not one because it does not exist to me, regardless on how one looks at it. Many use the garbage line from the movie "Usual suspects" where it says "the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he does not exist", see it does not matter to me if a devil exists, because and sorry to be redundant, the devil does not exist to me, my thoughts, actions, etc are way above that and grow more by the second.
About God- to understand God, I suggest you forget anything you have ever known about a God, God is far beyond 100% understanding and always will be. God could be an entity, a cluster of elements, gases, atoms, etc., a mainframe, a matrix, etc, etc, etc, however there is a force, energy, power, greater than you, that is what God is, God has a male and female side, God has to. God gave you life and everyone else. God slowly, through evolution, created us, nothing that comes from simple matter, atoms, gases, elements, solids, liquids,(pieces of a puzzle) just all of a sudden makes something as intricate as a human being, breathing life and creating life, things just dont fit without some force, power or Higher form controlling it all, there is a hand that waved us into what we are today, that hand is God.
About being religious or spiritual, etc- I don't label my faith, labeling it makes you possess intolerance, which contradicts any teachings of Jesus, Buddah, Lao Tzu for example. The thing about my faith is that it is mine, it makes me feel natural and how I am supposed to be towards others and myself. Find God your way, that is the most important.
