Mac, don't get me wrong. I absolutely understand the principles behind the topic.
What I'm trying to say is that often people who would normally not commit the crimes without the assistance of a drug, lose their inhibitions, and carry out acts of violence, crime, etc.
I understand that to some cops, it's just a job. That's why I couldn't keep it up in that profession. I was so pissed, and so angry at what people do to defenseless, innocent children, that at times, I could hardly keep it in. And then, not to kill the guy, but put him in cuffs, and treat him with courtesy so the fucker doesn't get off on police brutality (which does NOT require actual brutality to be claimed), was just too much for me. I'd rather bust a guys legs in a parking lot who's smackin' his kid around. I have less of a chance of getting in trouble that way.
In any case, I just plain disagree with the total drug being legal bit. We spend a whole shitload of money fighting it. And a whole shitload of money housing those in jail that possess/sell it.
But I can't accept a steroid being in any way like other "recreational" drugs. I never had to arrest someone for plowing into a minivan with 4 kids inside, because he was impaired from his Equipoise shot.
