Once internet history and temporary internet files are cleared is there any way to get them back or find out what websites have been viewed?

cookies might still linger. Also, unless you go into the folder for the internet files and clear then through explorer, or a dos box, some might still linger. Who knows what they keep in the registry regarding history and viewed files/sites? Remember to clear out all of your temp folders.

If you're really paranoid, get a Linux distro which runs purely from CD and uses only ram.
