i FINALLY went wireless in my house....works great with my new laptop anywhere inside the house.

my desktop computer is old enought to not have built in wireless decoder.....how can i convert it to wireless also?


pls use small, one or two syllable words....not computer literate here....
 
Go to Wally world or Best Buy and get a USB wireless networking adapter. Load the driver cd, plug it in, et voila.

Definetly the way to go - very easy.
 
what's the cheapest way to go? i seldom use the desk top...but it's too good to junk.

Does your desktop have an ethernet port? If so plug it straight into an available port on your wireless router. That's your cheapest option. But you can get a USB Wireless adapter for under $30 at Best Buy or from ebay

i bought the adaptor from the ebay link red provided...a cheap and easy way to go wireless for the seldom used desktop.
 
I hope you don't have setup or compatability issues with that no name adaptor and your wireless router rnch...

Let us know how it goes
I generally find using the same adaptor brand as the router leads to less pain overall.. Generally speaking.
