Hey Guys...can someone tell me how to download text messages to my computer? I have an Iphone 4s. Yes..I'm retarded!

There are several. I found a program doing a google search but have to pay for it so thought I'd ask before I just bought some random thing.

There might be an option when you sync but I can't find it yet. Hopefully someone can help if they know how to do it. I think it would be a useful thing to know how to do. :)

You can take a screen shot and then email it to your pc.
Or do you want a whole convo to copy and paste?

She wants several texts, probably months worth of texts. She is looking for a way to do it w/o having to screen shot each text.
 
You can backup text messages w/Itunes but you can't read them from the backup. I will gladly research to satisfaction in exchange for pics of your bare gluteus maximus.
 
Why do you want to save the texts? Too bad you weren't using snapchat or something like that...

I found some software that downloads your messages! I started looking at iTunes but my son uses it too and didn't want him snooping around
 
Macs/iPads etc have iMessage which you can sync your iPhone to however it opens up automatically so not practical if you share your computer login.

I have no idea! LOL When I get home, I'll look at it and let you know. I tried a couple different ones with the free versions but they'd only do 10 messages, so I found one that does up to 99, which was perfect. I found a couple others you could buy and the cheapest was $9.99, which isn't too bad. I even figured out the itunes thing but hopefully this will do the trick! :)
 
iTunes is the worst program ever created. Makes me pissed off everytime I use it.

DiskAid will let you download all your text messages into .txt files.

I gave in and bought it, but I'm sure you can steal it from the internets somewhere.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out too.

And not gonna lie...I was pretty much ready to turf my iphone this weekend. I feel an android coming on the horizon.
