Computer gurus...is this good shit or not...

lol.
well, I guess it depends.
I personally don't hold much regard for certs.
Win2K is... well, not cutting edge - but at least it isn't NT.
Cisco sounds good - but again, that is a cert.

That would allow you to maintain networks, which isn't my main area of knowledge - I haven't had to maintain a network of any size in over 3 years now.
So I'm not a good one to ask.

if you want to program I'm more on the ball there :)

it is good if you have a machine that will send you back in time... CCNA's make about half of what they used to.. (if they are working). Think, you dont hear those radio ads for that shit in the morning anymore do you???

wonder why?

I have to go to a job school before I go to BUD/S. (Even though I won't be doing that job at all) It's in case you get hurt or quit, they can stick your ass on a ship or whatever.

It will give you all the skills you need to do any IT work in the DoD.

Right now, the only people on XP in the DoD are NSA and some morons like the DoDIG.

Although there are a lot of pilots for XP in most bases/forts/stations.

A school before C school.

Ain't that the bitch, because no one wants to learn the shit at A school. The C schools have all the good stuff!

Looking at that course description , it looks like the work we have some people around here doing.
I'd say they're probably making $45K, just my guess.
Of course Texas doesn't pay as well as Cali.
