Computer Games Help!

I'm about to embark on a 3 1/2 week long vacation and need some help with the latest video games. The wife won't be joining up with us for a couple of weeks and I need something to do after the kids go to bed.

What's the latest/best video games for the computer? I'm out of the loop as far as computer games go - I don't have anything loaded on this laptop. It's got a GeForce 440 Go video card, so it should be able to hand must of the newer titles.

Post up your favorites - I need to load up some games!

Day of Defeat (mutiplayer like counterstrike), Rise of Nations, Vice City, Blitzkrieg, Tropico 2, Splinter Cell, Freelancer

Want to consume time and do so pleasurably....Try Rise of Nations or Age of Mythology. Also Empire Earth is great fun, but not brand new. I'm still into it. I'm a strategy game type of dude.

mafia, max payne, grand theft auto 3, grand theft auto: vice city....


just go to pc.ign.com, and see which games got the highest rating. they are right on the money.

oh yeah, go get a gravis gamepad (it's similar to a playstation controller), they make some games much easier.

Age of Empires.

I was just about to ask if anyone still played that game. It's one of the best there has ever been.

Age of Empires 2 the age of kings
& Age of Empires the Conquerors expansion are better than the first, but still all are fun as hell.

Cannon Fodder. Ooooooooold game.

Anyone ever play this? You shoot at a cannon. And the cannon shoots back at you. You take turns. You build your own level. You can put anything in your way so you don't get blown up. Sooner or later though, those cannonballs get through.

Age of Mythology is the new game in the series.

Wow. It has been a long time since I've played computer games. I didn't even realize they had another one. All I seem to play nowadays is Xbox since I can play it on a 57" screen instead of a 17" monitor.

the game looks sweet though
