hey, i guess i have what they call degenerate spine...
a few years ago i was stuck in bed due to a pinched nerve in my back.. my whole lower abdominal area was messed and in pain, my legs were numb, i couldnt walk very well, etc.. it is that siatic nerve or whatever, right side of body between butt and back.. it got better out of the blue after about 4 months, and i have been very carefull ever since..
i have since over-extended my back once in the gym and that was terrible, but i went to the chiropractor a few times and did these little exercises and it got better within a few weeks... now i'm even more carefull... especially in the gym.
a few weeks ago i bent over at home to pick something up and "BAM".. I feel sharp pain... fuck... i went about doing what i was doing and it was alright, sure i could feel pain and my back was all bent out of shape but it wasnt too too bad...
now, i slept in a shitty bed sunday night, woke up monday and FUCK... my back is fucked again... it is hard to walk cause it hurts to have my body weight on one leg at a time.. and when you look at my side-profile, my back has a big "(" bow to it..it is bent, i cant flex my stomache, it hurts to cough, i'm hunched over.. standing up stright my right arm touches my hip and my left arm hangs in the air about 8 inches away from my hip, that is how bent i am..
i dont wanna spend more bucks on the chiropractor cause i'm on EI and money is a little hurting, + i know what he will show me to do to straighten it out... i might end up going just to get him to crack me but it doesnt help too much anyways..
i was hoping someone could help me... any supplements to take so that this wont happen to me again? exercises i can do to prevent this from happening again? i do lower back extentions on back day, i do fairly heavey dead lifts on leg day, along with squats, i always keep my head up and dont usually have a problem... i do a pretty vigorous ab routine and i have a strong mid section.. i am lean, very littlle body fat.. my doctor is surprised that this happens to me seeing how i am only 26 y/o and am in such good physical shape.
if anyone can give me tips or tricks i would be hugely gratefull.
thanks.
