I don't care if you are 33 or 13, you need a day off......my ? is what you do, how do you eat? How often? What do you do for a living?

i workout when work allows, i have my own towing business and am a contractor along with that, i can't eat 6-8 times a day like some of these guys, sometimes i'm lucky if i get to have 2 decent meals in a day, it's jus hard to stop what i'm doing to prepare a meal, cuz i never eat fast food.

on my two off days of the week i eat like every other day. basically its high carb and protein. i dont consume as many protein shakes tho bc i can spend the time cooking nice meals then. i dont run either. eat as little sugar as possible.

JKurz, you need one day completelt off per week. If you really are feeling it, go hit up calves and abs to satisfy you, and go tan. Tanning relaxes me nicely and takes away my workout drive LoL.

As for diet, lots of protien and EFA's, carbs around 1 gram / pd bw.

What is your spread like nowadays? Diet? Cardio?

5 days per week....one bodypart per day.

weekends off - no cardio - just keep a fairly good diet

My avatar is a typical bf for lower body......no - I dont adjust cals....I saty 10-12% withno cardio

I tend to eat less on off days. I don't really measure it, but it's sort of instinctual for me. I feel like since I'm not excercising, I don't need as much food. I'll stick to my normal diet in general, and I might have a cheat meal as well. It'll typically be something really crappy, and really fucking tasty too :), but I'm careful to watch the portioning.

But yeah. An off day is an off day for me. No lifting, no cardio.

I never claimed it to be ideal. It's just what I do.

I don't do a springtime diet this time of year. It's still strict by normal American standards, but not so much by bodybuilding standards.

I usually skip Friday and go out for dinner and drinks. Other than that I try to do 30-45 minutes cardio on off days so it's active rest.

Be honest. Does this sound like someone expressing "a different thought process?" .......

Ok...my fault.........I apologize, Again.......

LOL...don't sweat it. I've been known to get a little lippy around here myself, as Shadow can personally attest.

I know that's hard to believe from my dumbell thread, but it's really true. :)

Man I think it's the holidays. I'm travelling early tomorrow morning and I've been short as hell with people lately. But y'know, it's like one of my good friends says, "It's not Christmas until someone's feelings get hurt."

Anyway...my day off usually comes at the end of the week, or weekend day. It varies. I lift five days a week, two of which get post w/o cardio. I devote one day to running, then the last day is completely off. I mean I don't exactly sit on my ass either, I'm usually catching up on chores and whatnot. But that's generally how it works.

6 days a week. Everything is trained once, except chest is twice. 20 min cardio after everyworkout. Calves 3 x per week.

Diet is about 150 carbs, 350 pro, 80 fat. So far in about 3 weeks i've had no change in weight, but I am leaner -- estimate is i've lost 2 pounds of fat and added 2 of muscle.

I'm about to change up everything is 3 weeks or so. Cutting training back to Mon Tues Thur Friday. 3 days of rest. I will be training everything twice a week. Mon Thur will be workout A, Tues Fri will be workout B. I will also be using an HST principle. First week 15's, second 12's, 10's, 8's, 6's, 4's, 2's (some lifts I will not go down to 2's on -- like shoulder press for example -- too dangerous). Will also do 15-20min cardio after every workout.

I'm not exactly sure of my goals. I certainly won't get fat on this diet, but my goal isn't to do anything to drastic. I have a problem with being to drastic. From 5000 cals a day to 2000 and back and forth. I don't need that anymore.

I eat a very healthy diet all the time, kind of a zone ratio, lean protein, very limited grains if any, and the rest fruits and vegetables. All organic. Pharmaceutical-grade fish oil (searslabs, not cheap, but 100% worth the expense), virgin unrefined coconut oil, etc.

What I'm trying to illustrate is that I'm pretty health-oriented, so I don't really cheat on off-days or change my diet a lot. The main difference for me is that I don't have any kind of pre or post-workout drink. I DO cheat once in a blue moon, but it won't necessarily fall on a workout day or off day (though preferably *after* the workout for obvious reasons).

You said you feel like shit if you don't do anything, but this could mean that your diet isn't quite up to par. You're pretty strict, so my only guess would be either too many grains (especially if you're not working out that day, you thus don't need all the carbs), or a food allergy if possible. For example, eating eggs every day of the week can result in a food allergy.

If you mean that you feel like shit in that you feel lazy, just keep active and maybe do a stretching routine (Active-Isolated stretching is best), take some contrast baths/showers, meditate, or do whatever.

No cardio at all?? Completely off? I feel like sack if I eat all day and dont do squat....

yeah completely off. and id recommend your next day to be something difficult for you. or a bodypart you want to grow more. like legs maybe. i enjoy my totally off days, i get shit done.

About the same meals

I just drop some carbs

Very curious to see an brief outline of your diet man, if you have the time.......

What do you do? How does your diet differ? How many times a week?
what i know i SHOULD do is stop training immediately. i usually have one when i haven't slept enough or when i have a lot of shit on my mind and can't focus. instead of not training, i train anyway and feel like shit both physically and mentally. for me this happens a couple of times a month at the most.
