Competitors... when do you cut out sodium before a show?

i have some dumb questions but i like to learn things. i assume you cut out sodium to reduct water retention for a cut shredded look for your show. is this right? how do you go about reducing sodium? isn't sodium in just about everything? when you cut out sodium, does it affect you physically or mentally? do you crave it?
 
i totally diagree with every post on this thread with sodium but everything works diffrently for diffrent people
 
Personally, I wouldn't recommend cutting sodium out entirely especially if you're already hard and dry. I did this last time at only about 18 hours out from prejudging and lost alot of fullness and vascularity by the time prejudging rolled around. After consuming more after prejudging filled back out somewhat before the night show. This is a tough question though and different methods will work differently for every individual. Your best bet would be if you can get yourself in contest shape ahead of time play around with a couple different alternatives to see what works best for you. Good luck!
