Where online have you Ladies' purchased them.....

Didn't have any luck locally.....

Well, I thought the same thing. I initially bought the ones with the ankle strap, these, http://www.snaz75.com/el-m-brook.html, but I returned them. They were uncomfortable and I didn't like the "line" it created at your ankle. Also, they just didn't feel right to me. The slide on ones were much easier to put on and off backstage too, because I didn't want to walk around in those things when I didn't really have to. The girls with the straps were kind of stuck wearing them longer since they couldn't easily slide them on.

Just little tidbits.

good to know!! I have some slide on heels and I always, always! fall out of them -- thus why I think I need an ankle strap....

One more thing then. The ones with no strap have a wider clear strap thing that goes across the top of your foot. It's snug and kind of forms to your foot. Something I read on a stripper forum (while researching shoes!) was that you can heat them up with a blowdryer then slide your foot in. It molds the plastic to your foot. Helps them fit better.

Jen did you look in local sex shops? That is where I found mine. LOL

I went to the Farmer's Market today + a lingerie/novelty shop + Boscov's + DSW ---> no luck.....

DE doesn't really have "sex shops" ---> they are illegal....

Called one novelty shop just over the border in PA but they are out of shoes.... Won't get more for 2 weeks or so....

So I just may order them online...

Nothing with a chunky plat form is across the board rule now. Check with the federation you competing in to be sure what else they require.

Doesn't say really....Here is their rule:

"Shoes are worn to accentuate the calves and can give the illusion of greater leg length depending on the type of shoe selected. Shoes should not be virtually the same height off the ground at the toe as they are at the heel, as they would fail to accentuate the calves. Shoe color is up to the competitor, but please note a clear shoe tends distract less from the physique. Shoe style is up to the competitor also. Competitors should choose a shoe style that compliments their physiques. For example, if a competitor has a long upper torso, perhaps they will choose a shoe with a 6" heel and 3" height off the ground at the toe to give the illusion of longer legs. Excessive heel heights (ex. 5" difference between the heel and toe height) should not be worn if they present difficulties for poise, elegance, and stage presence as this would result in the potential for lower placement. Generally, competitors choose a clear shoe with an inch of height or less under the toes, but this can vary depending on the illusion a competitor wishes to create."

I think I'm in the 5'4" tall & over class - for NPC I think that's Class C

But my 1st show (Aug 27) is an OCB show.....

Yeah I think 5'4 and up is tall. Best bet is to go with something reasonable I wouldn't go over 5 inches, but then again I am 5'7 so that is going to make me look like an amazon. LOL

I know the minimum is 4" -- which may be more comfortable....

And that site SD gave me has FREE shipping!! So I just might get 2 pairs!!

Whatever you do... Make sure you can walk in them and they don't distract from your body. This lady walked or should I say almost fell every time she walked because her shoes were so high. They were clear plastic and actually they were dreadful. I think I was watching her feet more then her upper body.

I ordered 2 pair today - no ankle strap & 1 with...once received I will practice after morning cardio

Get the 5" heels - just 1/2" platform under the toe part. Anythign higher looks ho-bag, anything lower just looks stupid.

If you look thru the whole site, they've got some crazy shoes!! :lmao:

Good choices. I almost got the ones with the rhinestones across the strap, but decided to go plain. They're very pretty.

I really liked them.....

Plus I really liked your point about slip on shoes -- so I got both pair to see what I like better.....

Got permission at my gym today to practice walking in the racquetball court...

Cool! I don't think I'd have the courage!

I'm trying to practice more at home, walking, posing, and SMILING! (my weak point). Every time I put those shoes on, I have to go into smile mode! I'm not normally a smiley person, at all.

I don't really like my smile......so I've really got to practice on that!!

The r-ball court will be nice, cuz in the am - no one's in there....so I'll be alone....and there's 5 of them so I can hide....LOL

Ohh good choices! I like the slip on ones... then again the strappy ones will give you more support around the ankle and may help give you more confidence walking in them. When I was a teenager where I worked they had this 6 inch pair of heels, and this girl that was 6 foot put them on and almost did a Naomi Campbell in the parking lot. Way to high!

Jenscat....If I change my mind and go for figure would you be able to order them for me as they don't ship to Australia. I was looking at the same shoes about 6mths ago myself but was having trouble with sizing as I have a big foot. Then I decided to do physique and don't need shoes. But I'm not sure I can get in shape enough for bb so at the last minute I may have to go figure.

Definitely learn to like it... IMO you can tell when someone is not comfortable... You have a nice smile JC... It'll come through more as you gain confidence... Keep up the hard work :rose:
