I am 6'2, 175 lbs. I don't know my body fat % because I don't like the trainers at my gym and have not been tested.
I really want to lose this belly fat ( I am lean everywhere else). I am not curvalicous (as my sister would say) like most females. I am pretty much straight up and down. I measured my waist @ my navel and it is 37 inches (that is also the largest party of my body). I know diet is what is going to get this off.
I just figured my caloric intake from Tatyana's post in the diet section and my calorie intake should be 2459/day. It says to decrease by 10-20% to lose weight.
This is my plan: Do 25 minutes of cardio on my spin bike first thing in the morning (take 2 Yohimbine HCL)
Lift weights@ my gym 3 days/week
I don't really know how to break down my calories and what I should be eating, that is where I need help.
My long term goal is to get under 20% body fat and have larger defined muscles.

Thanks for all suggestions!!!!!!!!!

The exercise part sounds good, I am sure some of the girls here will help you out more, and advise you to post up your exact diet.
Personally, I didn't see any good fat loss until I upped my cardio. I actually gained muscle first, and only now am starting to see the results I want. I started with 30 min, 3 x weeks, but didn't see good results until I upped it to 45 min, 4-5 x/wk.

Posting what you eat, how much you eat and when you eat it along with your routine will get you the best responses.
Also list what you drink and when too!

Hey there Mackstress, long time no see, hermana.

Yeah you do need to figure your macros. I believe Fitday probably is the easiest way as it is free and does the analysis for you. Total kcal daily is just the starting point as you really need to know how much of those are protein/fat/carbs and of the carbs how many are higher GI.

Mack, your waistline circumference can be whittled down to a degree by concentrating on fat loss for a while. If you want to make that your primary goal though you need to absolutely forget the muscle building for 6 months at least. Sounds like you do not have the classic estrogenic fat placement, so the higher area of the abdomen (at the waistline) will always be the last place you remove fat and the first place to add it. That means pretty hardcore attention to cardio and fat loss dieting to get flat.

You can create the illusion of curvyliciousness though by longterm cycles of dieting and lat widening. Check out old pics of Bev Francis. She was thick as a brick in '84, but had a great V-taper by '91.

Thanks Willow. I will try that site out. That is what I was trying to figure out is how much of my calories should be protein, carbs, etc.
I just had cardio - it is so boring!!!!!!!!!!
