here's a little info for those who have not heard of:

Can colonic irrigation heal you?

The human body is a wonderful thing. Each organ works together with the others to process the things that are taken into the body. Down at the lower end the whole system can slow down. What can be done to get the juices flowing again? Try Colonics.

Colonics, also called colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation refers to the process of cleansing and detoxifying the system. While the lower intestinal tract is cleansed, the whole system is detoxified. Proponents of colon irrigation claim that it actually heals their bodies. Toxicity is a major cause of illness, disease and feelings of general malaise. How is it that when our wonderful body systems are made to work perfectly, that we wind up not being able to expel toxins through our colon? If we all had enough bulk in our diets and avoided the chemical toxins contained in alcohol, tobacco, polluted air, and processed foods, our colons might stay healthy. While colon therapy does not heal any specific disease, it greatly enhances the body’s ability to function at optimum level, so the body is more able to heal itself.

When a system is bogged by all the abusive treatment it has had to endure over a lifetime, toxic waste builds up in the colon and the body cannot properly assimilate the vitamins and minerals we need. The walls of the colon tend to develop a buildup of material and this results in sluggish bowel movements, constipation and other problems. Instead of being expelled correctly the poisons re-enter the blood stream and circulate through the body. If you are experiencing flatulence, stomach bloat, lower backache, bad breath, stiff joints, mood swings, skin problems, abdominal discomfort, restless sleep, excessive mucous, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue depression or cloudy urine, you may need to have your colon cleansed. These are signs of an impacted colon.

Many people are under the false impression that an enema is as cleansing as a colonic. An enema only uses 1 to 2 quarts of water while colonic irrigation uses 12 to 15(soemtimes more) gallons of water. During the colonic the water travels the whole 6 foot length of the colon, cleaning it from the sigmoid to the the ascending colon. The cleansing effect of one colonic is superior to 12 to 15 enemas. The whole colonic treatment is not necessarily limited to the colonic irrigation. Also included usually is abdominal massage and reflexology which is used to stimulate pressure points of the feet that also help with the elimination process. The entire procedure should take 35 to 40 minutes.

The effect of a colonic is not just on the colon. Once your body is detoxified through the colonic irrigation, the other organs of the body work better. It facilitates the cleansing of the blood, liver and the lymphatic system and makes it easier for organs to release their waste products for elimination. Many people claim they suffer from headaches much less after having a colonic treatment. Other benefits that are reported are improvement in appearance, mental attitude, skin tone, and stress is relieved. Constipation and abdominal pain are often eliminated and the old feeling of exhaustion is replaced with a feeling of energy.

Many people are apprehensive of having their first colonic performed. There is really no need to have any fear about the procedure. You are clothed in a full-length gown and will be asked to lie down on your left side. A small instrument will then be inserted gently into the rectum. Water under mild pressure is carried into the colon through rubber tubing. Another tube carries waste out. Next you will be asked to lie on your back and the treatment will continue. A trained therapist will gently massage the abdomen. The waste goes into a totally enclosed container and there is no odor involved with the procedure. The initial treatment is equivalent to 20 to 30 bowel movements.

To find a licensed Colon Hydrotherapist in your area check the Yellow Pages under the following headings: Colon Hydrotherapy, Colon Irrigation, Colonic Irrigation or Colon Irrigation. If you cannot find these listings in your phone book, ask your healthcare provider, chiropractor or call a spa in your area. They may be able to direct you to a therapist.

DIDNT JOHNNY KNOXVILLE ON JACKACE DO THIS??? IT WAS PRETTY FUNNY.

KAYNE

LoL he did... and they also mentioned that john wayne had like 20 pounds of fecal matter compacted in there...

If you have any obstruction in your lower intrstinal tract or colon it is extremely helpful. A buddy of mine is a triathelete, he was having a hard time leaning out, and was feeling bloated all the time. His doctor figured he had some sort of blockage, turned out to be 3 or 4 petrified kidney beans!!!

PS- I have read that by age 35 the age average american has 5 lbs of undigested red meat in their lower intestine!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I dunno about this shit. In cali they make all kinds of stupid claims, cleaning out your colon as the one true way to mental & physical health. I guess it depends how much stuff ya got impacted up there. (kidney beans, car parts, real estate...)

Daily. Starts the day feeling less "toxic".
Like your blood isn't carrying around all those poisons cause now they've got somewhere to go.
I've had one over 15 years now, one of the best purchases I ever spent.

uh...john...no offense but i have more faith in 'evolution' than that i evolved so flawed i need to do...that :eek2: you aren't really saying healthy people do it are you???

I just...well...let it happen naturally, so to speak...:eek2:

What is so wrong with that???

Make fun if you want to, but I experience the quoted statemets to be true.

I don't experience any problems with it of any kind.
No bacteria, no stains(use the toilet before you shower), no clogs.
Does "double duty" for women.
I can't imagine why every woman wouldn't want one.
You'll be throwing away those messy douch kits.

Urban Myth!
Excerpted from http://www.snopes2.com/toxins/fecal.htm

"Here we have another classic case of scary-sounding misinformation being propagated because it suits the agenda of various groups. Advocates of colonic irrigation use this scarelore to indict the American "goo and glue" diet and validate their claim that the practice is a safe and effective means of curing a variety of ailments by purging the body of all sorts of sludge and toxins. Vegetarian groups employ this horror story to demonstrate that a meat-based diet is both unnatural and unhealthy for human beings. Hence stories circulate about alleged post-mortem discoveries that celebrities (such as John Wayne and Elvis Presley) who epitomized the "meat and potatoes" diet, gluttony, or other negative eating habits had some tremendous amount (40, 60, or even 80 pounds) of "impacted fecal matter" or "impacted feces" lodged in their intestines. "

That episode of JackAss was hilarious where they did this. That dude dressed up like Santa Claus and went in to have a colonic done. They actually said John Wayne had around 50 pounds of fecal matter in his body when he died. They said most people will lose around 15 pounds after having a colonic done. Imagine what that weight loss would do to most of our bodybuilding egos...lol!

They were full of shit, so to speak. No autopsy was done on John Wayne. See link I posted above.
