you guys ever eat meals in class? i have a schedule where my classes are 3 days a week 4:40 to 5:30 then 6 to 9. i am pressed for money so i cant have 30 shakes a day and have to watch my bucket. the other day i went into the bathroom and opened a can of tuna with a can opener and drained it into the sink then snuck into the bathroom and ate it. what do you guys do in situations like this?

Personally, I set up my meal times so that I eat between classes... (I eat every three hours on the dot) But if you must eat DURING class, make it something that you can eat quietly, like a shake or sandwhich. Anything that makes "crunching" sounds will be annoying. Just prepare it ahead of time =)

if i have to eat before class. i cook then eat it before or on the way. if its time to eat during class ill have a shake ( whey/ oatmeal) , if after class i go back to my apt. and cook .

hey..I'm also a college student....what I do is I carry a small cooler with me and make my food ahead of time if I know I am not going to be able to cook at my apt. If I am in class, I take 1/2 a shake or even a small prtoein bar to hold me over.

I've taken food into classes before. As long as it is something that I can eat cold and not need to cut up in class. You can have yams precooked and cut, oatmeal or cold chicken strips.

I had protein drinks or eggss or chicken/turkey sandwiches I had between classes.

Had drinks when I only had a few minutes break, sandwhiches when I had a break in my schedule.

I do the exact same thing. Works out very well. I cook about a weeks worth of meat at once. Usually 5-6lbs of steak and 3-5lbs of chicken. The steak I eat for dinner and the chicken I eat for lunch. But my lunch is always on the run and in between classes. So the night before I make my lunch. I get the boneless skinless chicken breast and put it inbetween two pices of bread add a little BBQ sauce and it's good till tomm. I aslo eat a natty PB sadwich with it. Then I just drink some water. With the BBQ sauce it can make your bread soggy so you can leave it out or just add it in morning.

How my day goes:
Breakfast, tuna
lunch, chicken
dinner, beef
LOL, now add three protein shakes in between and you have my daily protein intake.

Tupperware

Cook a bunch of brown rice with 2 cans of tuna in it, toss in a crap load of seasoning, i dont use sodium contaning stuff. and put it in an *AIRTIGHT* container in your backpack. During your breaks scarf down your meals. Been working for me for the last 3 years.

Also keep a small container of protein in a school locker, rentable usually, and a shaker, just add water and walla..... 40g of protein consumed in about 10 secs. :Chef:

I have a time period where I'm in class for 6 hours straight. I make sure I eat right before and right afterwards, but I'll bring a granola bar or peanut butter crackers to hold me over. Usually my stomach is grumbling by the end though, and I need food fast after that last class.

both my feeding and class times usually fit well, but when they dont I get out of class and eat, then I get back

doesn't matter if you lose 10 mins or so =]

i ate an entire lb of cottage cheese in the hall the other day before class/ i slopped a bunch of it on the floor it was sick people were lookin at me like i was a sick nut haha.

who cares if people mak fun of you in class or walking around campus cause ur eting... ur gunna be able to kick their asses neways...

eat a lotta tuna sh- quick easy and cheap
also make ur own home made snacks like oatmeal ice cream and milk in a shake maybe add soe peanut butter... :Chef:

it a high cal cheap way of getting those carbs in u

I always get stares when I eat in class ..but then I just smile and give a small flex....then they turn away... lol

YOU guys are right on. Tupperware and plastic baggies!

I will put maybe 1 (if any) book into my bookbag, hit up that caf, and load the bag up. Sometimes I used to make 10+ trips. I would snake everything from hardboiled eggs (great), to veggies, to lunchmeat, to chicken breasts.

As far as class goes, I usually make a few sandwiches and throw them in baggies, and eat on the fly.

The best thing about college food is you can load up on it, all you can eat, except it may not always be the healthiest.

In my 4 years being at college I became quite adept at loading up on food.
In fact, the past 2 years (jr and sr year) I get the '1 meal a day" plan, and will steal so much food I barely have to buy anything at the grocery store.

Does wonders when you can snake a whole dozen hardboiled eggs and 6 tuna sandwiches!
