College Bullshit

I am supposed to register for next semester coming up... I was taking a look at the classes i have left to take... There are 5 of them, all finance and math courses.

The problem is, i changed my major midway through from political science to business and had to take math classes. Since i am now just finishing my first math class, i don't meet any of the prerequisites for the 5 classes because finance I requires completion of math analysis(which i am taking right now), finance II requires completion of finance I... Statistics requires the completion of finance I and II... Quanatative information systems I requires completion of statistics... And QIS II requires completion of QIS I...

Can you see the bind i am in? I can't take any courses that will count for my degree.

This fucking sucks... I am gonna go to law school as soon as i am finished but wanted Business Degree to fall back on so i can get my MBA if i dont like law school. But it seems like there is no point of going for Business degree if its gonna take me another 2 semesters at least just to be able to take those 5 courses...

What do you with experience think i should do?

Most of the time, they wont even check your schedule for the required pre-reqs, trust me on this. Just enroll in whatever you want.

I've seen that work before for some girls I have known. Try it.


In my case, they check my pre-reqs like fucking hawks, as I have had a "conflict of interest" with a former professor of mine.

it's all bs inforcing rules that make no since, you have to take these classes for this, and these classes for that. BS!!!

what's your rush man? who cares about an extra sem? dont rush life or get pissed, if something goes wrong, it goes wrong for a reason. I'm in the same position, I couldnt even sign up for last sem. anyways, I thought to myself there is no point in getting pissed off because of a sem or stupid rules, school is a joke anyways, $80,000 for a piece of paper when they can train anyone to do the job in a few weeks that you went to school for 5 years for.

just think of it this way. your getting screwed over everytime you spend a dime, or waste a minute on school. but if you dont go your pretty much screwed anyways

They're right Buff. As long as you haven't slept with/beaten senseless/sodomized/or yelled at any of your professors (deans, advisors,etc.) They're really not going to notice. The ONE person who may take notice, but can't really do anything about it is your advisor.

Maybe for some majors, but not for many.

They stick pretty hardcore to thr prereqs... The registration process is all automated... I put the call #'s of the classes into teh website and submit it... Then it will come back and tell me i don't have the proper prereqs to register for that class...

Yeah i think going to school for years just to receive a peice of paper is BS too, but today thats what you gotta do... I really wish i never went to school and took over the family business
