I was wondering if anyone knew of a site where I can purchase these grips?
I remember coming across a site with them for sale and technique for getting your grip stronger.

-thanks!

The grippers are great. Alot of fun to work with. I noticed my crushing strength increasing dramatically within a few months of playing with them.

A few people on here claimed the No 3 I believe. I almost closed the No 2 for two reps. The No 1 I got 28 times. My hand crushing strength was always weak. I couldnt even get the No 1 the first times I tried it. Within a few months I hit the No 2 for one rep and the No 1 for 20 plus reps.

I have the normal grippers from a sporting store, is there any way i can improve my grip with those or do i need to go out and by the coc grippers?

how many reps can you do with them? if it is over 30 then get the trainer and number 1 from www.ironmind.com

I haven't tried it, but I've heard of sticking a plate inbetween the gripper and holding it. For example start off with a 2.5 lb plate. hold it inbetween the grips by squeeezing them together hard enough so it doesn't fall. then move up the weight.

The store training ones are almost always pretty weak. If you want to develop hand strength, get a better one. Doesn't have to be CoC, though - there are other good ones out there. I can't remember the name of it, but it's something like Beef something.

I want to build some massive crushing strength.

To be able to shake people's hands and them fear you after that....

hahha

Ok, I Googled it. They're called Beef Builder grippers. B Fold has more info on them, if he ever comes around here anymore.

No reason to crush it more than once or twice. The point is pure crushing strength.

Id have to disagree. The only way I was even able to get up to the No2 was by repping the No1. Without the strength to rep out the No1 I doubt Id even get the No2. I think 23 reps is what the book reccomends before moving to the next gripper. That was pretty accurate for me.

Those COC's will make a big difference. I got the No1 first, then after repping that out, I ordered the No2 and trainer. I havent been working with them as much for a while, so repping the No2 for 20 plus reps may be a while. haha

Beast, what book? The KTA book suggests 25 overcrushes and negatives (a combination of both) by the end of the 6-day grip training week. Not 25 in a row. If you follow it, you can progress without repping about 5.

I believe IronMind also advocates very low reps right on their web site. They do have that guideline about # of crushes before moving up, but they recommend against actually training that way.

I beleive it was in the ironmind book they send with the grippers or maybe on thier site. I just went by it cuz it ended up being pretty accurate for me. But Im sure there are better and more detailed ways to train with the grippers. I was just playing with them, doing my own thing. Sitting in front of the PC doing them while Im on elite and on my off days , playing with them throughout the day. I made nice increases this way, but the crushing strength is not a huge goal of mine. Was more of a distraction during my injury, to keep me doing something, and getting little PR's. Now that Im back deadlifting and lifting heavy again, Im not looking to wreck my hands too much. Dont want my deads and other lifts to suffer because of it. So I just use them casually now, or when I get bouts of concentrated rage. haha

I have the CoC's and the ones from www.smartstrength.com and I prefer the RB grippers from smart strength.
