Toyota/Lexus (the rumor is lexus) wants to build a flagship performace luxury car and word is it will essentially be the Supra reintroduced (and rebadged to a Lexus)

The 2JZ-GTE block that is in the 2nd generation Supra's is legendary. People have boosted this block to 1000 + horsepower and it holds the pressure.

Nothing is concrete and only a few spy shots have emerged...

it must not take a whole lot to reach legendary status in the rice world.

Dodge's turboed 2.5L 4cyl that they equipped caravans with in the late 80's will handle well over 1000hp.

nice compact performance and a great maintenance history

Scirroco or the Corrado.....either one was a big seller for VW
