High reps squats and I'm not feeling that great. Left from work to work out. It hit me when I racked it. Strongest buzz I've ever felt. I thought the lights were going out. What the blankety blank causes that?

It was almost my time to go. I've never fainted or passed out so I'd think I was dead if that happened.

closest iv come while lifting weights is standing overhead press.

iv come sort of close during squats and deads, but this time it was an almost failure rep where i got stuck right above my head, but kept pushing for a while, untill finally it started to budge again, but my whole body was shaking, and everyone looked at me like i was having a seizure and was gunna die, and when i finally got it, i lowered it back and almost fell over

I've had that happen from squats. I think it's high blood pressure. Not from you necessarily, from working your arse off.

That's determination! Although I don't think that's a good idea. If you can't get it without straining every muscle in your body, put it down. Just increases your chances of injury, believe me.

I got like that when I tried 100-rep squats a while back.

It sucked.

thats a good point. i didnt contort my body though, i was shaking because i was squeezing so hard to keep form.

i do need to be careufl tho ur right

I think it may be high blood pressure. I did squats today also and it was 100+ for the first time this year... hot as shit in the gym too. I was feeling it also... do you breathe properly?

Yeah, but I don't start panting until after I rack the weight. High rep squats are a killer. I've been on my back for 20 minutes from fatigue.

the closest ive ever come was when i was trying to put a new earring in my cartlidge in my ear.........i almost lost it there

I think people puke after they squat because a lot of blood goes to their legs, which we all know hold the most developed muscles in the human body.

I feel fine during the squat repetitions. The last few are a bit**. It's when I rack the weight and step back that it hits me. Sometimes dizziness and always panting like you just sprinted a 440.

Same here, but I love that feeling.

its definately a good feeling. i also love pushing up that last rep that you know you shouldnt be doing, but its too late to back out, otherwise it all comes down on the pins

20 rep squats are GREAT....

I get lightheaded too...not sure if it's from all the blood in quads or from not enough oxygen....I suspect the latter.

It's really helped me to small pause on the 15th....then take a couple of good blows for the next 5....

i think it is lack of oxygen to the brain if your vision is tunneling in.

same thing happens when we do chokes in judo.. your vision starts to tunnel in and when its black you pass out shortly after.. if you tap just as it is getting dark you get a pretty cool euphoric buzz as the o2 rushes back to the brain.
