I did the cgb for my first time in my tricep workouts and they went really well got 14 sets done heres what it looked like
cgb 5x5
french curls (skullcrushers)4x5
dips 4x10
pulldown 1x12
i would have like to have gotten 5 sets in for french and dips but the cgb did a job on my tris i don't really feel it much today but i was last night after the workout. but i can feel it was hit more in my lower tris than upper thanks for the suggestions on cgb.

no no bro i wouldn't feel that shit at all i like big tricep workouts i only do them once a week so i like the big sets.

t is overload, not fatigue, that causes muscles to grow. If you are able to do 14 sets for triceps then you aren't using enough weight.

Protobe, stick with your current 5 x 5 using the CG Bench Press. Finish them off with 2 sets of 2 different exercises like Dips(2 x 8-10 reps) and Pushdowns(1-2 x 8-10 reps). If you're using REALLY heavy weight like your supposed to, 8-9 sets should be more than enough.

If an elderly woman's opinion is of any value, I got a hell of a burn, feeling and strength growth in my tris after doing only 3 sets of 8 reps in skullcrushers after close grip bences of 5 x 5, pretty light. But tris are my best bodypart. I'm 41, have trained for 15 years in the gym striving for strength, because in summer I do track'n field: throwing events. IMHO you don't need many sets, it's the correct weight that counts. Maybe you like doing several sets, OK, but 14 is definitely too much. And you want size, but, as leviathan said, big weights bring forth the mass, too. I have pretty big tris for a woman and I've never trained them with more than 5 sets. Of course, we are all individuals.
