Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I've recently read an article by Bill Roberts about Clomid. In it says that Clomid and nolvadex act almost entirely the same in the body. It states that not only does Clomid help as a post cycle test starter, but when used throughout the cycle it is also effective in reducing the risk of gyno. has anyone heard of this? If so, why bother using Nolv since Clomid does not effect your gains?

Clomid and nolvadex are not the same thing. One kick starts test the other is an anti estrogen used mostly for breat cancer.

Clomid is an oestrogen and blocks the estrogen receptor just like nolva does and yes they will both work as an anti-e. Clomid has the added benefit of stimulating the pituitary to release LH as well to get the teste's kicking out test when androgen levels are low enough.

That is why we all use clomid throughout our cycle......blah blah blah. We use nolvadex throughout cycles for gyno. They arent the same thing, maybe on the same level.
And everyone used to think the world was flat too...blah...blah...blah.
There are some guys who DO use clomid during thier cycle to control gyno and it works just fine.
If you head out and do some reading of clinical studies you will see that the action of both is nearly identical at blocking the estrogen receptor. So what the amjority of the people use doesnt mean shit.
Femara and Aromasin are the best aromatase inhibitors, so they should be taken during a Test cycle to prevent estrogenic effects like gyno and water retention. Clomid is the drug of choice for post cycle, for it increases endogenous Test levels. Yes, clomid and nolvadex can be used to prevent gyno and water retention as well, but the excess estrogen still needs to be eliminated and the liver can only do so much.
