Clomid Related Headache or Ruptured Blood Vessel in Brain?PLEASE HELP!

Dirty Workout

New member
I get a devastating headache everytime I start my workout. First warmup set and feels like someone took a baseball bat to my skull. I feel it clearly on the left side of brain. Basically started around when I started taking Clomid 3 weeks ago (today is last day). Please help.

Go in and have a scan done on your brain ASAP!!I just lost a family member due to an aneurism. He was complaining of headaches that kept getting worse until finally his wife walked in from work one evening and found him in a seizure. He was pronounced brain dead a day later.Don't fuck around.

listen to Huck bro....If u do a search u will find I went through a similar thing, but it was not associated with clomid...i had headaches in the gym all the time..now I know it was due to my Blood pressure..and one day popped a few blood vessels in the back of my head, felt like a shotgun wound to the head...went to ER, thought it was an aneurism as well...had cat scans, MRI's, Spinal Tap's...and I thank the Lord everyday it all came back negative...remember AAS has a negative effect of blood clotting, so if u do have any bleeding the juice is doing u no good, so IMO, get to a Dr ASAP !! No sense in waiting it out, better safe than sorry...good luck bro..keep u in my prayers !

Same thing happened to me. I got such bad headaches from Clomid that I can't use it.

When I was straining, the pain in my head got so great that I would feel on the verge of passing-out. Stopped the Clomid and the headaches got somewhat better right away and then stopped about 5-7 days later.

Now I'm fine, just can't use Clomid. Maybe if I was willing to "get adjusted" to it by using a low dose over time and building up. But I really don't have a need. I've never had that reaction to any other drug in my life.

I'm not saying this is your problem but that is my experience.

Damn, that's pretty scary. I've been reading a lot of negatives about clomid and am wondering if I shouldn't go with nolva at the end of my upcomnig first cycle. What do you guys think? Maybe try to clomid and see if I have the symptoms first, and if I do have those splitting headaches, can I switch to nolva?

You do need to get this checked out. I had this happen several years ago. In my case it was high blood pressure. They will do several tests on you, but the important one is a cerebral angiogram, the actual procedure is not that bad but the recovery time is long. I was on no Clomid or any roids when I had this problem. I got my blood pressure under control and have had no more problems since. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for all the responses. Went to the doc today. He is not a neurologist but he thinks it is a pinched greater occipital nerve (runs from side of head to side of neck). He said if it was a popped blood vessel that my head would fill with blood and I would be unconscious, not sitting here weeks later. I also asked if it could have been a subarachnoid hemmorage (brain blood leaking aggravated by exercise), which a med school friend suggested and he said no because my neck would be stiff. Basically, I strained a neck muscle and this bangs into my nerve or something like that. His conclusion does make sense because I only get the killer headaches during upper body work, not legs.

Not sure if the Clomid could have been making it worse (which I stopped). He never even asked if I was taking any medications/supplements. I guess after he took my BP and said it was fine (140 over 90) he didnt suspect anything.

I am still going to neurologist next Thurs just for peace of mind.

I strained a blood vessel in my head working out in college. Symptoms are similar. I was put on some type of medication and it took a good couple weeks before I could do any real physical activity without getting a bad headache. It was pretty wild.

Whoa, thanks for the info on affects of Clomid. I get "eye ache" headaches that occur now and then from when I take out my contacts at night, but then go on the computer or watch some t.v. for too long. Then the eye strain kicks in, which sometimes turns into 2 or 3 sharp pains in usually the left side of my head. If I put my contacts back in, or stop using the computer/tv, they immediately go away.
