Animal and I always disagreed on this, and I still disagree wholeheartedly with his analogy. He believes that clomid 'saturates' HTP and therefore prevents natural endogenous hormonal recovery.Clomid's actions are quite simple really-It stimulates production of GRH/LH by selectively binding to estrogen receptors on the hypothalamus and pituitary, the two main glands responsible for regulating initiation of hormones responsible for endogenous testosterone production.Estrogen is the primary culprit of suppression of these hormones, although androgen and progesterone presence can be inhibitory as well.Estrogen is a hormone which often lulls around unwantedly long after a cycle has ended(usually from aromitase up-regulation incurred DURING the cycle).By taking clomid post cycle,an individual can 'block' estrogen from binding to these sites, and testosterone production starts up once more.It will not exceed your normal levels, and this is largely part of the argument that animal and I have had.The best formula is one that combines clomid (estrogen blocker)with arimidex(anti-aromitase) post cycle,as one will re-initialize your hormonal production, and the other will make sure it STAYS that way.
