Clomid and Bad Moods

Ok I think Im going to be holding clomid to blame for my recent bad behavior and the way Ive been thinking, just how bad can this stuff mess you up emotionally anyways? anyone got stories?

Tears brought to your eyes in a whim.

Very emotional.

Basicly, you start thinking and acting much like a woman.

And compared to the kingdom you felt you were on while taking test...

The clomid period is an ugly, depressing time.

I'm on week 6 of my cycle. Loving life.

I know I have about 3 months to live it up before I start acting goofy again.

Not to mention the anxiety.

I hate that shit.

But, that doesn't mean, in any way, that you shouldn't take it.

Much better to be depressed, than to have a dick that doesn't care about getting fucked.

Not sure if it was just the depressed test levels or the clomid, but I felt like shit both mentally and physically post-cycle.

Is there any scientific evidence that shows clomid causes these symptoms?

....it has to do with the huge surge of Estrogen that occurs post cycle as test drop to sub-normal levels......same kind of feelings as women have during pms

I prob got this all mixed but heres how I thought the argument goes....

As your test levels rise so do your estrogen levels as the body maintains them at a fixed ratio (I forgot what the exact ratio is). Now the problem comes when you come off cycle because estrogen is metabolised more slowly than test......so your test levels drop alot quicker than your estrogen levels.....hence the weird emotions. I guess you might construe that as a surge in estrogen levels.

The only side that I have had from clo is some funky visual problems. This only happens when using a high dose......if I look at something and then move my field of view I still see 'ghosts' of what I was looking at for a few seconds.

Correct.

I was assuming the use of an anti-estro during cycle which may not be the case.

BTW - next time run clomid and Liquidex and avoid the problems

Clomid can cause quite a few emotional side effects, though not in everyone...I for one take a wild rollercoaster ride of emotions on clomid therapy....it's not unusual...

Visual sides are very real in some cases..blurry vision, ghosts..etc. can happen on larger doses, and smaller in some....Take the clomid at night an hour or two before bedtime to limit the possibility of this side giving you a problem....

Oh yeah, I had lots of emotional sides from clomid.

It seemed like I was even more testy on clomid than I was on sust.

Little shit would either make me wanna kick somebody's ass or go in my room and cry about it. LOL!

technically it (clomid) is blocking the estrogen receptors, so it is more of the lack of the estrogen and then the massive increase in the LH and FSH that causes side effect.
adding in liquidex will help you recover more quickly because less estrogen will be there, and the clomid works by telling the brain that there is less estrogen there, so make more LH and FSH - so if there *really is* less estrogen there, it can make a more convincing arguement (it can only block so many receptors for so long). (but the LDex wouldn't help the mood one way or the other)
these hormones being present in higher than normal situations induce emotional distress via synaptogenesis, synaptolysis, and apoptosis reactions (basically increasing synaptic turnover) that lower the amount of dopamine and thereby a depressed feeling results.

in the end, everyone gets it, and it always goes away - just be aware that it is there and know that it will leave once you stop the therapy.

has anyone came up with another way that works without using clomid? like nolva and proviron

im going into basic reserve training this summer and start clomid 5 days after i arrive

Clomid has the following effect one me: Weeks 1-2 (300mg per day), depressed almost suicidal if things aren't going well. Also, yeah, I'm weepy at movies and all that shit. Weeks 2-5 (100mg per day), the depression is over and go figure.. I'm happy and even somewhat sensitive to the needs of other chicks... When I go off I turn back into an asshole though..
