I do not know about Australia, but if Australia is like brazil when you pick up your mail they frequently check the mail. The reason is people try to sneak merchandise through without paying outrageous taxes. Ex. Street bike in USA $12,000, in Brazil w/ taxes $65,000 their money, which is around $30,000 USD.
