Cleaning question.

Mini blinds for a door. I have them on a double door setup and want them either taken down (preferrably) or cleaned while up. Should I just soak them in a tub with something? Will that affect the string that's part of the blinds?

They're white blinds, in case that's important. They're just dusty and slightly dirty, but need a good cleaning. They don't have any specific stains on them.

Please E-mail Bran217 or Gambino. Thanks bros.

yep..take em down run em under the shower

OR

if you have a shopvac/blower

I was thinking of letting them soak in the tub with some solution and use my sprayer to wash them off. What's a good solution to use on metal miniblinds? Can I use bleach or is that too strong? or ?Some kind of Tub cleaner spray?

ANSWER!

I'll take care of it big guy.

Try using one of those steamed cleaners with a narrow tube head to get under the layers and around the corners.

This procedure should be able to get rid of the accumulated dust and bacteria effectively.

It's a versatile cleaning tool able to accomplished all kinds of cleaning jobs from cleaning delicate windows, corners that are impossible to get in, behind cupboards, cleaning and disinfecting between the floor tiles, very good with the kitchen too etc.

Go out and buy it. It is worth it.

GL and GLG,

Use Pine Sol, or some grease cutting solution to clean the blinds. If the blinds are metal, those can be harder to clean with just water, so at least add that or a grease cutting dish washing detergent in. Use a sponge, or dip the blinds in a tub. Either way should work.

lol you sound like you sell them

OK Problem solved. I spray painted them white. The dust just hardened up sort of, and you can't even see that they were dirty. It looks pretty good and now they're even shinier. lol It took like 5 minutes each side. It's so much easier than cleaning. Thanks bros for the replies.
