Claiming Gear with Customs?

No. 3: I have heard all the funny haha jokes about bringing your own handcuffs with you when you do this. Save it.

Has anyone actually DONE this and did it work? I have read the law and it does appear that it CAN be done with human grade gear. All I want to bring is about 7 or 8 boxes of Stenox back and do some other shopping. Ciudad Acuna will be the border town.

As long as you can show you have a script they will let you have it.

It will probably depend on your customs officer. Just like a cop, if they pull you over for speeding a little, it is up to them to write you a ticket, or let you go free. If you show your customs officer the gear, they can take it and there is nothing you can do if they decide to do so. Customs says something to the effect that "drugs manufactured outside of the US are of unknown and often questionable quality and you are better off not taking them." Customs is there to protect you.

Ok, so say I bring a bottle of oxyflux (clen) back across. When I go through customs on the border and I put it on the table to declare it w/ my other shopping goods(legal) stuff, what would they do? If I put it on the table and say I didn't know it was illegal, won't they just take it away? Or, would they fine me, or what?

I'm sure you have an old empty perscription bottle lying around your house somewhere. Just put the stenox in that and dont even worry about it. If the bottle has your name on it from a U.S. Dr. they cant touch it. Thats the easiest way to get orals back. When I go on vacation they must think I'm the sickest person on the planet.

Clen is not FDA approved so they would definitely take it away. I don't think they would fine you because you declared it. The fines are for smuggling.

Theoretically you can bring back 50 dosage units of a controlled substance (schedules II-V), regardless of whether you have a prescription or not. The problem is that the drug must be for *medical* use. That's why people are able to bring back stuff like Xanax, but not steroids. Unless you have a prescription from a U.S. doc, you will have a hard time convincing customs that you need 10g of test for medical purposes. Also, read literally the regulation allowing the 50 dosage units applies only to *land* borders. That's because the whole purpose of the law was to exempt old people who go to Tijuana or Canada, not to make it easier for your recreational drug users.

As far as clen is concerned, it's on the customs alert list. So they will confiscate it.
