CLA Ethyl Ester is MELTING my refrigerator

When I grabbed my CLA this morning it was kind of stuck to the shelf in my frig. When I looked at the shelf I could see where the bottle actually started to melt into the shelf. I remember reading a thread a while back stating it melted a cup some one had put their dropper in. This is not good. If this stuff will melt plastic what is it doing to my insides. I have been taking it for a few weeks now and I haven't noticed any stomach discomfort, but wtf? PP is there an explanation for this? I have more than half a bottle in the fridge and a whole bottle unopened. I am seriously thinking about trashing both of them.

Im PRETTY sure its the alcohol in the solution, if im not mistaken. My Phyto-Test did that, not my CLA though. Stuff runs down the bottle and gets on the bottom, The phytoTest did it like the first day, the CLA I havent had any issues with so far.

Alcohol? I didn't think of that, but it does make sense. Yeah, that Phyto makes a mess.

If it makes you feel any better, our stomachs can handle many things plastics cannot. For example, the pH of our stomach acid is around 1 (0 is the most acidic [think battery acid] and 14 is the most basic [think drain cleaner]). Furthermore, when you ingest CLA, it doesn't sit in your esophagus or stomach undiluted over night, it gets mixed up and moved along. I wouldn't throw it away, but I would put a paper towel between the bottle and the fridge to prevent further damage.

Yes. Those are the little ridges that run around the bottom of the bottle you see indented on that shelf.

So far the only thing it has done is melt the shelf in my frig. lol I am sure it is a good product, and I have not been using it long enough to notice any thing.

The phyto did it to my fridge so I put in a little plastic tray. Alcohol will tear up that light paint and plastic of the fridge...I havent spilled any CLA but the PLASTIC dropper is still intact lol, so my guess is, its the alcohol in the solutions laying in the fridge for a while.

Why tansfer jars? They are in glass...Just dont spill alcohol on plastic and let it sit...pretty simple lol

Well people drink coca cola and it does this :


In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.
To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl.......Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, And run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.
The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It's pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.
