I understand the hole CKD diet, but what I need to know on the carb-up days how much and what types of carbs do I need to eat and how long do I do a carb-up???
Typically, a carb-up lasts for 2 days. During your carb-up you should focus on eating foods that are high on the glycemic scale (brown rice, baked potatoes, carrots, for example) This is suppose to force a blast of carbs directly into your muscle cells, which will create an insulin spike. Mid-way through your second day, you should be switching back to your low-carb diet.
