CKD question..

hey, first off, this is my first post on here, but i have been reading the boards for a while. well, my question is about the CKD diet posted by Mr. X. It says that the suppliments needed to go on CKD are:
Fiber, multi vitamins/multi-minerals, adipokinetix and Ephedrine.
Now I have a few questions about these, considering i have never taken any suppliments before. First, which kind of fiber should i take? any better than the other? Second, would the multi-vitamin and mineral powder on proteinfactory.com work for the MM/MV requirement? Next, is Ephedrine completely necessary, because I am not going to inject anything. Will not using it screw up the diet?

Thanks for your help

First off, you dont inject ephedrine. Its taken orally as far as I know. Psyllium Husk is a good ideea for fiber, its cheap. Whey after workout and Caseinate other times as far as protein.

I highly recomend Super Nutrition's Men's Blend Multi's. They are food based and able to be fully digested, good absorbtion. Iron Free.

I find the Ephederine completely necessary as I am completely lethargic without it on the first few weeks of a CKD, after the 3 week rolls around I tend to get adjusted.

ok. thanks for your answers. I have one other question. Could you do the CKD without any suppliments and have it still work if you were hardcore about it and just kept on working even when you were lethargic?

In short, you cannot do CKD without supplements, but you can without alot of supplements. YOu DO, and I cannot iterate this enough, need to take a good multivitamen, preferably 2 times a day to make sure you get enough minerals on this diet as you are getting primarily FAt and protein and not eating alot of veggies and carbs. I would also reccomend some Whey protein so you can get your Amino Acid dosage daily. Check out Mr. X's CKD manual and try to shoot for his goal daily allowances of Minerals.

You can probably do without Creatine ( I do), without any sort of Thermogenic/Energy booster (I wouldn't reccomend, due to lethargy during the first 2 weeks).

Everything else is up to you, but make sure you get ur minerals since you are gonna be on a Caloric Deficit that isn't really healthy for extended periods of time.

"i thought they stopped making adipokinetix, i haven't seen it on the market in a while?"

I asked the same question and was directed to NYC.
