Chrysler 300c...

Sadly I've only gotten to drive the 300 with the 3.5 V6 as every 300C the dealers get is sold before it hits the lots. This is an amazing car, especially for the price. Car and Driver clocked it 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. I'd love to get behind the wheel of a Hemi model.

Next year at the Detroit Auto Show Dodge will be showing the 2006 Charger built off the same platform at the 300C. I was looking at Cobras but I'm just going to have to put that purchase off untill I see the Charger.

The RCMP is actually in the process of getting a bunch of 300C to replace some 300M (too many mechanical failures) for plain clothes officers. Cool ass car with lots of power !

Manny, are they replacing the 300m's or CrownVics?

I know a lot of places are dropping the Crown Victorias and have been looking at the 300C as well as a car called the Dodge Enforcer which is a 300C with the Dodge Magnum front on it.

Here's a pic of the upcoming 6.1 HEMI

That picture was taken a few months ago and cost someone their job. That engine bay belongs to a 300 or a Magnum.

They're replacing the 300M slick tops with the new 300C. They'll have no markings, and I guess, just the usual cherry ball with magnet on the front dash, rear/front grill strobe lights. The Crown Vics are being replaced by the Impalas but in rural detachment, they kept them cause of the RWD. They're just waiting for the new Crown Vic 2005 Police Pack.

Actually bro, it's basically an E-Class Mercedes......built on the same platform, but with american muscle.......it's a pretty badass car for way less than half the price of what it's competing with (M5, GS400, etc..) I tried to buy one when Chrysler Corporate ran one through the auction, but it went for 1500 over sticker.....

yeah, can't wait to see 18,000 of these things in the next two months, all with 20" chrome spinners and sounding like a t-rex just walked by your window.

not that i'm stereotyping, or anything.

LOL at this uninformed statement...this car is made to compete with Caddys and Lincolns, not Bentleys...

Cool looking car, for sure.

But.... its a Chrysler, thus it has to ultimately suck.
Too bad.

He didn't say it was trying to compete with Bentleys, just to look like them. I can sort of see where he's coming from, although in reality it's trying to look like the Italian-designed Chrysler show cars from the 1950s.

To my eye, they ran out of styling ideas when they got through with the nose. The rest of the car appears slab-sided and bland. Looks like they handed over they styling responsibilities for the back 2/3rds of the car to the Dodge Truck division.

It may very well be a decent car, but I'd want a good test drive before I put down a deposit to get on the waiting list. Chrysler has a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
