I take it. but check every product in the health shop. some non BB brands have the same quality and quantity but for less cost.

I like fenugreek or r-ALA for insulin mediation. Chromium has other uses, and has lately been shown as a great deterent to depression.

Should add a bit here to back this assertion up....Transient hypoglycaemia, a condition characterized by erratic glucose tolerance, mood swings, sugar craving and weight gain, and which may be a form of latent diabetes, researchers are finding respond well to chromium supplements.

More for our needs(i.e...bodybuilding), read on......

Some interesting stuff on fenugreek if anyone is interested.....

Fenugreek seeds have been used as an oral insulin substitute, and seed extracts have been reported to lower blood glucose levels in laboratory animals (7.5-101).

Fenugreek may also have beneficial effects on triglycerides.

Cholesterol-Lowering Effect
Fenugreek has been shown to exert a cholesterol-lowering effect1. In one 24-week study, serum cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and VLDL levels showed a steady decrease over the testing period. Additionally, HDL levels (good cholesterol) showed a 10% increase. Results like this would indicate Fenugreek could be beneficial in preventing and treating atherosclerosis2. It was observed that the steroidal saponins (steroidal glycosides) present in Fenugreek account for many of the beneficial effects of fenugreek, particularly the inhibition of cholesterol absorption and synthesis3-4. One human study found that Fenugreek can help lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels in persons with moderate atherosclerosis and non-insulin-dependent diabetes5. According to several controlled studies, Fenugreek helps lower elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood6, including in those with diabetes7.
